Genre: domestic/romantic suspense.
Publisher: Craven Ink Press
Publication date: 02/06/2020
She’s desperate to stop the panic attacks. But the truth won’t set her free…
Jamie Kendal sees life through the bottom of a bottle. After surviving assault and betrayal, she is forced back to her hometown to care for her mother. Not long after her return, she’s plagued by terrifying slivers of memories from the night her twin brother disappeared forever…
Unearthing new evidence, she’s shocked to learn she’d been found wandering in the woods that same night—covered in blood. More than one person from her past hid the haunting truth that’s bubbling to the surface. The deeper she digs into the horrors from her past, the more she fears almost anyone could be a killer, including Jamie herself.
Can Jamie expose what happened that night, or will she join her missing brother?

Review:
If there is one genre that I love it’s thrillers, the mystery and suspense that come along with these books are always fun. This one appealed to me just based on the blurb and I knew that I had to read it. It is a book that is hard to put down. I loved the story, the chapters are broken up by who is leading them each titled with a characters name.
Jaime is a fun protaganist. She’s my favorite kind to be sure with her flaws and her attitude. She’s the best to read because you invest in who she is, where she came from, what happened to her and what will happen to her. I thought that the mystery was a good one in that as you went you only got little crumbs along the way and you really had to get to the end to know exactly what happened.
I did figure out some of the twists but I tell ya there is one chapter that I physically gasped at because I did not see it coming at all. I had some suspicions, some I was right but thought I was wrong and some I didn’t quite know. It was a satisfying ending for me, I didn’t feel like there was anything more that needed to be said.
Overall this is a book that I would highly recommend. Please read it! You will have missed out otherwise and that would be a shame. I look forward to all that Eva does in the future and she’s certainly going to be landing on my list of favorite authors!
I liked it so much I decided to start rating my reviews! My first official five star and it deserves it in my opinion!
