I am back with another blog tour. This time I’m reviewing Johnny Lycan and the Anubis Disk by Wayne Turmel. A Werewolf fantasy book full of action and humor. Thank you to the Author, and Frolic Blog tours to let me be a part of this tour. Let’s dive right in!

JOHNNY LYCAN & THE ANUBIS DISK
BOOK TITLE: Johnny Lycan & the Anubis Disk
AUTHOR: Wayne Turmel
PUBLISHER: Black Rose Writing
PUBLICATION DATE: November 19, 2020
GENRE: Action/Adventure, Fantasy, Paranormal, Urban Fantasy
Johnny Lupul is riding high. He’s got a PI license, a concealed carry permit, his first big payday and a monster of a secret. After rescuing a bookie’s daughter from Russian mobsters, the newbie PI catches the attention of a rich, mysterious client.
At first, it’s easy money. After all, magic isn’t real and those “occult” objects have to be fakes. But while chasing an ancient relic, an obsessed enemy from his past emerges. Johnny learns that the world is much stranger—and more dangerous—than he ever suspected.
Malignant forces dwell in Egyptian artifacts, Romani superstition is fact, and being a werewolf may be the most normal thing he has to face on this case.

Review:
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book wasn’t quite what I was expecting, the premise of a Werewolf PI was one that had me interested right away. I don’t have a lot to say on this book not because it was bad but because I don’t want to give anything away. So I’ll keep this review brief.
Johnny is a werewolf who it is clear lives day to day. The book starts right in the middle of some action and it doesn’t seem to let up as we go. I enjoyed the action of this book and the humor had me laughing as well. While I will say it’s not a a bad read it wasn’t my favorite either. There were parts that I just didn’t enjoy and some bits that had me rolling my eyes.
However I don’t think that means much because overall it was enjoyable. I think if you like PI books and you like Werewolves this is one that you’ll enjoy as well so I would recommending giving it a go for sure.
